i know such a great name -- lu xun, but i have hardly read his articles before, not because i dont like them, but because i am afraid that i cant understand the profound connotation of his articles with my own mind. it was not until i learned "from baicao garden to sanwei bookhouse" that i found his articles so approachable. so, i began to read "chaohuaxishi", savor the fun.

in "chaohuaxishi", mr. lu xun misses his happy and interesting childhood and his carefree days in the garden. "here the sandflies sing, here the crickets play their harps." what an enchanting sight! lu xuns childhood seems to have been spent in a natural waltz.

mr. lu xun experienced all kinds of hardships in real life, but he still used words to depict such a beautiful world. 这本书刻画了一个个饱满恶有鲜明的人物形象。例如;善良的街头舞女爱斯梅拉达;丑陋但具有鲜明善恶观的残疾人，卡齐莫多;道貌黯然的教士，无情无意的队长等。

巴黎，这个传奇而又浪漫的城市，他们上演了一部关于善与恶的悲剧。

爱斯梅拉达是我印象最深的一个人物，他是小说善的聚焦点，她是平凡的街头舞女，是在那些富人眼里身份极卑微的嘲弄对象，忘不了那一个情节——“丑陋的卡齐莫多作为教士的傀儡，无辜的被绑在方场上，忍受着别人的指指点点，他张着干裂的嘴唇乞求围观的人施舍一口水;但人们对他的丑陋外表的厌恶与嘲弄之外，毫无其它的反应，而这时，身为受害者的爱斯梅拉达却端了一碗水，送到卡齐莫多的嘴边”。

且不说爱斯梅达拉是一个受害者，就算是一个普通的人看到卡齐莫多丑陋的相貌时都对他避而远之，而爱斯梅达拉却用自己的宽容与大度包容曾经伤害过自己的人，我想，这应该是‘善’的最高境界。

教士，是一个人人都尊敬的人，是人们口中所谓的高尚者，然而，却是一个被美好的外表包裹着的臭泥，他的内心无比狭隘与肮脏，是一个道貌岸然的伪君子，虚伪、自私在他身上体现的淋漓尽改，而且，他应为没有占有爱斯梅达拉而用卑劣的手段将其送上了断头台。卡齐莫多是被教士收养的孤儿，文中用‘狗与主人’来形容他们的关系，可见卡齐莫多对教士是何等言听计从，但他因为爱斯梅拉达为他送水之后，从恶的深渊升华到善，他极力保护爱斯梅拉达，帮助遭人诬陷的爱斯梅拉达逃走，在她被绞刑时，愤怒地将罪魁祸首——自己的主人——行为卑劣的教士从巴黎圣母院的顶楼推了下去。

由此可见，人性都是善良的，善良的人能够影响别人，并且使他人关注自己，而恶人最终都逃脱不了‘惨死’的下场。
